The Province of BC coordinates agencies during a pandemic event. Regional Districts in the Trust Area have the responsibility for coordinating emergency response on the islands. For local information:
Islands Trust Public Office Hours & Planner on-island Offices
All offices are currently closed to physical visits from the public between March 31, 2021 to April 19, 2021 in keeping with stronger province-wide health restrictions.
Islands Trust staff remain available via email or telephone, Monday to Friday, it is public access to physical offices which vary at this time due to COVID.
Call ahead, during health order restrictions as hours have varied.
Islands Trust Meetings
Local Trust Committees, Executive Committee, Council Committees and Trust Council are meeting electronically. Provincial Ministerial Emergency Order 192 permits local governments to hold meetings electronically. Meetings are advertised on our website or be notified by joining a subscriber list. Islands Trust Conservancy
As of May 2020, Islands Trust Conservancy meetings are being held electronically.
Islands Trust Conservancy operations continue and staff are available by phone or email. Currently all Islands Trust Conservancy Nature Reserves remain open to the public, but all public events have been cancelled. In collaboration with our island partners, we are monitoring the use of nature reserves to ensure that social distancing measures are being followed.
