South Pender Island Community Heritage Register
At its June 12, 2018 meeting, the Local Trust Committee (LTC) established a new Community Heritage Register for South Pender Island. At that meeting, the LTC made the first entry to the new register: the Church of the Good Shepherd at 8978 Gowlland Point Road. The Local Trust Committee will hold a community information meeting within its regular business meeting to provide information and hear feedback on proposed Bylaw No. 115. In general terms, Bylaw No. 115 would amend the Official Community Plan (OCP) to update policies about pedestrian and cycling infrastructure on the island. The Community Information Meeting will be a Town Hall style opportunity for community members to ask questions, provide comments, and hear what others have to say.
