Denman Community Design Charrette - Sep 6-9, 2017

Vancouver Island University (VIU) Master of Community Planning (MCP) students and faculty will undertake an intensive, three-day community planning and design process with active participation from Denman Island residents and stakeholders this September at the Denman Activity Centre. Students will obtain practical experience while the community will have the opportunity to participate in the planning of the future of the Village/ Downtown, and the Local Trust Committee will receive valuable input which may inform future planning including the Official Community Plan and bylaw amendments.

As specific activities are finalized, information on the sessions will be posted right here within the Denman Projects and Initiatives section of our website. If you or your community group would like to ensure involvement, please see contact information provided in the brochure, contact your local Trustees via email, or direct your enquiries to the Islands Trust Northern Office.
