Terminology

Protocol Agreements

Refer to agreements that Trust Council or a local trust committee enters into with other agencies or organizations at a political level.

Letters of Understanding (LOU)

Refers to agreements that the Chief Administrative Officer enters into with other agencies at an administrative level and which are endorsed by Trust Council or a local trust committee.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Refers to agreements that Trust Council, or a local trust committee enters into with another corporate entity of the Islands Trust at a political level.
