Art posters/rack cards with conservation message for visitors to the Islands Trust Area are available free of charge to businesses and locations frequented by visitors, and to all island residents. Would you like a poster/rack cards to display?
Island Heritage Buildings published by the Islands Trust in 1987, features a selection of settler heritage buildings in the Trust Area.
Each new term requires Council to make choices about where to invest time and money in Trust Area-wide projects to best achieve its legislated mandate. Here is the 2014-2018 Adopted Strategic Plan.
The Policy Statement is a document which lays the foundation for all the principles, decisions and policies for preserving and protecting the unique amenities and environment of the Islands Trust Area. Trust Council has a goal to review its policy statement every five years, subject to priorities and budget.
BC Ferries Advocacy
In a coastal province, affordable ferry service is as necessary as affordable public transit or affordable highway systems in the land-based part of the province. Guided by our Policy Statement, the Islands Trust actively advocates on behalf of island communities about BC Ferries' fares and services.

Islands Trust Report: Exploring Food Security in the Islands Trust Area
This report is about planning tools and actions that can be used to strengthen our local food system. It provides an overview of food system planning, relevant legislation, local challenges, opportunities and policy tools which can guide food security in land use policy and community development.
Crown Land in the Islands Trust Area
In 2001, the Islands Trust Council initiated the Crown Land Study to prepare Vacant Crown Land Profiles for islands throughout the Trust Area. Over the subsequent decade, as time allowed, staff completed profiles for Denman, Galiano, Hornby, Salt Spring and Valdes Islands.
