Islands Trust Conservancy (Regional Land Conservancy)

The Islands Trust Conservancy is a conservation land trust for Canada's islands in the Salish Sea. The Islands Trust Conservancy empowers property owners to voluntarily protect private land with innovative programs.

The Islands Trust and the Islands Trust Conservancy were both established by the Islands Trust Act. Both organizations are mandated to preserve and protect the Trust Area and environment but use different methods. As a conservation land trust, the Islands Trust Conservancy is legally independent from the Islands Trust. The land and money donated to the Islands Trust Conservancy are owned and managed by the land trust's board, not the regulatory bodies of Islands Trust.
