Peter Luckham is serving as a Thetis Island Local Trustee since 2005, and Executive Committee Chair since 2014.
The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Area includes over 20 islands. It has three provincial parks (Jedidiah Island, Sabine Channel, Squitty Bay) and four protected sanctuaries. In it's waters, the local trust area has critical habitat favoured by the Marbled Murrelet and Killer Whale.
