The Hornby Island Local Trust Area is located 31 km southeast of Courtenay, BC, has a 2016 census population of 1,016 people and covers an area of 2994 ha. The Hornby Island Local Trust Area includes the "associated" islands Toby Island, Flora Islet and Norris Rocks. The Hornby Island Local Trust Area's beautiful and vibrant islands are home to some of the rarest ecosystems in the world. June 2020 | Electronic LTC Business Meeting, Community Information Meeting and Public Hearing: June 26, 2020 

The June 26, 2020 Hornby LTC business meeting will be held electronically at 11:30 am. A list of Standing Resolutions in effect to date, can be found on our website here. The short-term suspension of bylaw enforcement action via this Standing Resolution, is intended to allow for the community education and communication aspects of this phase of the VHR project to commence, and to provide adequate time for voluntary compliance without the immediate risk of enforcement.
