Hornby Island Local Trust Committee Special Meeting Scheduled March 22, 2024 at 11:30 am at the Hornby Island Community Hall.
The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee has scheduled an in-person Special Business Meeting to discuss recent provincial housing and short term accommodation rental legislation affecting the Hornby Island Official Community Plan project. The meeting will be held Friday March 22, 2024 at 11:30 am at the Hornby Island Community Hall. The meeting will be recorded, and live streamed. Electronic participation on zoom will not be available. The agenda package will be available on our website by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 15th.
The purpose of this meeting is for the Local Trust Committee to review a staff report outlining the options and implications of regulating short term vacation rentals in light of recent provincial housing and short term accommodation legislation changes. A status of the OCP review project and options for next steps will be considered by the LTC.
