Care for Sensitive Ecosystems

Our shared islands have an amazing diversity of species and ecosystems that once created a rich mosaic of landscapes across the Salish Sea. Today, although fragmented and endangered, these ecosystems still act as strongholds for native species.

Our “Sensitive Ecosystem Guide” provides descriptions of each of the primary ecosystems below, with information on actions you can take to protect these fragile and sensitive lands on your property.
