Gabriola Island LTC Meeting – Public Hearing on Bylaws 318 and 319 and Consideration of a Temporary Use Permit

The Gabriola Island Local Trust Committee will hold its Regular Meeting, and a Public Hearing on Thursday, November 20, 2025 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Gabriola Arts and Heritage Centre, 476 South Rd., Gabriola. Find out more about the meeting and how to participate here.

The Public Hearing is to hear submissions on Proposed Bylaws No. 318 and 319 (application GB-RZ-2022.1). Find out more about the Proposed Bylaws and how to submit input here.

Written Submissions: can be emailed to northphsub@islandstrust.bc.ca or by letter mail at Islands Trust, 700 North Rd, Gabriola Island, BC, V0R 1X3
Written Submission Deadline: 4:30p.m. on November 19, 2025

Written submissions received after the deadline will be considered late and will not be accepted by the Local Trust Committee. However, comments can still be made until the close of the public hearing in the following ways:

  • Speaking during the public hearing (either yourself or by someone present on your behalf)
  • Hand-delivering your written comments to the Public Hearing Secretary at the meeting

The Gabriola Island Local Trust Committee will also be considering a resolution allowing for the issuance of a Temporary Use Permit. The proposed permit would apply to the LOT 3, SECTION 17, NANAIMO DISTRICT, PLAN EPP20661, located at 2372 Windecker Drive, Gabriola, BC. Learn more about the Temporary Use Permit here.
