The Islands Trust Act empowers the Islands Trust to work in cooperation with other agencies, and this sometimes takes the form of formal agreements. The Islands Trust has agency agreements with regional, provincial, federal agencies, First Nations and others.
Refers to agreements that Trust Council or a local trust committee enters into with other agencies or organizations at a political level.
Letters of Understanding (LOU)
Refers to agreements that the Chief Administrative Officer enters into with other agencies at an administrative level and which are endorsed by Trust Council or a local trust committee.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
Refers to agreements that Trust Council, or a local trust committee enters into with another corporate entity of the Islands Trust at a political level.
Maps, schedules, appendices, graphs, charts, graphics, and original signed copies are not included as part of Cooperation Agreements posted on the Islands Trust website.
