About Lee Middleton

Lee Middleton is in his second term as a local trustee for Saturna Island. He has lived on Saturna Island for 12 years and before that, Salt Spring Island for seven. Lee has a business specializing in Certification of Human Competence with a specialty in crane operations. A long-time President of the Saturna Net Coop, he believes that the better connected the Islands are, the healthier the economies and environments can be. Lee is a strong advocate of the Trust using its mandate to further ocean protection in the Trust Area.

About Paul Brent

Paul Brent is in his third term as a local Islands Trustee for Saturna Island. Paul began part time residence on the island in 1994 moving to full-time in 2007. His career has spanned executive level positions in transportation and resource organizations and continued as an independent consultant. Paul serves on multiple boards and commissions in the Southern Gulf Islands and is also the Alternate Director of the CRD’s Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area. He is passionate about protecting and enhancing our island communities and their environment.

About Laura Patrick

Laura Patrick is serving her first term as a Salt Spring Island Local Trustee and is a Vice-Chair for the Executive Committee. She moved to the island full-time in 2006 after having lived on Salt Spring part time since 1995. Laura has a background in environmental management, and international consulting. Laura believes the Islands Trust has important work to do to ensure a healthy, vibrant community that is in harmony with the natural environment, both for today and for tomorrow.
