Projects

North Pender

Local trust committee community planning projects are proactive initiatives that further the preserve and protect mandate. Projects can be significant and long term, such as an Official Community Plan Review, or may be relatively minor, such as an amendment to a regulation in a Land Use Bylaw.

Groundwater Sustainability Project

This project builds upon research and mapping done to understand the vulnerability of groundwater sustainability in the Southern Gulf Islands. The implementation of this research could result in amendments to the Official Community Plan and/or Land Use Bylaw to protect critical aquifer recharge and  groundwater supply.
